Versatile Personal Brand & Identity
A successful brand always gives sufficient thoughts and consideration to developing a strong branding exercise because it understands that this is one of the pillars of successes of all businesses. Without a doubt, this pillar has got to be well built and secure. And obviously with a weak pillar – weak brand name and design, a brand will fail to connect and make an impression.
Contrary to popular belief, cramming too many ideas and elements into a design does not elevate a brand’s image. To name a few of these examples of great brands designed with simple ideas but make big impact – Nike, Adidas and Apple.
A simple logo created for Cristina’s Personal Brand & Identity is an exemplification of simplicity wins the day. Have a glimpse of Cristina’s thought process behind the awesome design.
“This is the project about my new personal brand & identity. I recently moved from London to Switzerland, which it’s been a big change, so I thought I needed a new fresh image for my career. It is a very exciting project, but difficult at the same time. The base for the logo are the initials of my name C + O, combined and transformed into geometrical shapes. I usually like “simple” logos that are recognizable and easily adaptable and versatile for all sorts of media, so that is what I tried to achieve for myself. After having the desired logo and color palette, I tried to play with the shapes to create different patterns and also imagery to show a bit better my personality and my interests.
I am also a Motion Designer, so in my project presentation I wanted to include as well something to show some of these skills, that is why I included a short logo animation.” Â Cristina Oliver
